Anti-Virus Software

Before any computer is allowed on the PPD network, it must have virus protection. PPD uses Sophos Anti-Virus for both Windows and Mac computers.

Sophos Anti-Virus on Windows

Sophos Anti-Virus is installed on the standard PPD desktop build, and is required to be installed on any laptop connected to the PPD network.

Automatic updates

All Sophos installations are set up to automatically check for updates from our central Sophos update server at multiple times each day. The status can be seen from the Sophos shield logo in the taskbar, as below:
