Introduction

This page will describe how you can run your athena jobs on the grid. The first step is to make sure your job runs locally.

Setting up your account

In order to submit jobs to the grid you need to have a valid grid certificate and be a member of the ATLAS VO.

Submitting Jobs

For ATLAS jobs it is recommend you use the Ganga Frontend and the Panda Backend to submit jobs to the grid.

Checking on Jobs

Downloading Jobs

Once a job has run successfully (or even if it hasn't) you will want to download the output to look

1) Log into heplnx105 (or your linux machine of choice as long as it is on /afs) 2) Type: source /afs/cern.ch/atlas/offline/external/GRID/ddm/DQ2Clients/setup.sh 3) Type: voms-proxy-init -voms atlas If you have not set up your grid certificate on this node before follow the instructions here: http://www.grid-support.ac.uk/content/view/217/121/ 4) dq2-get yourdataset
