What do you like and general comments
- PPD computing system is very good. I am mostly seeing this from a Linux perspective.
- The Linux infrastructure is good, and we get all the support we need.
- For the few things that do not work properly on Linux, the Windows Terminal Server is an excellent
- General comment - Excellent service from PPD IT support & I think it's a very good idea to renew this forum.
- Terminal servers
- Very high up-time of most services
- General comment - Thanks for excellent work to all of the computing department! All the problems I have had so far have been solved very quickly.
- So I like the PPD flexibility with Linux. Eg that we can use linux and the NAS linux boxes. NAS boxes are something we are looking into more in CMS.
Kevin Dunford's response to these likes and general comments
- In general you are all happy with the level of support you receive from the PPD Computer Group.
- The Windows terminal server is highlighted as an important service heavily used by non-Windows O/S users.
- High up-time of services - I can only speak from the PPD Windows server side. This is one of the reasons why I come in early to do out of hour's server maintenance.
