The DNS alias linux.pp.rl.ac.uk points to the current production general front ends (currently heplnx101 and heplnx102).
The SL3 service is deprecated and has now been shutdown.
heplnx109 and heplnx110 are test SL5 nodes running on temporary hardware, heplnx109 was the first test install to gather feedback and requirements and heplnx110 is the "release candidate" incorpoarting the changes. heplnx109 will be reinstalled onto production hardware soon with heplnx110 to follow after.
heplnx109 will be shutdown soon
